Unlike traditional Chiropractor Techniques, our patients do not become dependent on long-term, ongoing treatment. Our goal is to return you to work and / or your hobbies or sports as soon as possible.

Pain Management

Pain management is important for ongoing pain control, especially if you suffer with long-term or chronic pain. After getting a pain assessment, your doctor can prescribe pain medicine, other pain treatments, or psychotherapy to help with pain relief.

Sports Rehabilitation

New or acute injury? At NLMC, a physician who specializes in the evaluation and treatment of spine, sports and musculoskeletal injuries can see you right away. We offer an integrated approach to rehabilitation, including physician services, on-site diagnostics and specially trained therapists.

Stretching / Flexibility Specialist

When injury occurs, there is usually some associated loss of ability to move normally. Loss of motion may be due to a number of factors, including pain, swelling, muscle spasm, shortening of connective tissue as a result of inactivity or immobilization; or some combination of these factors. Restoring normal range of motion following injury is one of the primary goals in any rehabilitation program at RPT, and the use of passive range of motion (PROM), a hands-on technique whereby the therapist moves the body part for the patient, and active range of motion (AROM) performed by the patient; techniques that are typically used in combination to restore full function.

Stretching techniques for improving flexibility have evolved over many years and a variety of approaches, from static stretching (stretching a muscle and holding the position) to proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF) that involves alternating contracting and stretching of muscles to increase their length, are used at RPT. Additionally, patients are advised about the importance of “warm-up” prior to stretching during the rehabilitation process and when they return to sports activity.

Work Injuries

When workplace injuries impair your ability to perform your usual work and recreational activities they impair your quality of life. If you have been injured on the job, make sure you get the expertise and level of care needed to get you back to your normal self.
